CPS Fault

after a week living with a 2001 320CLK cab it broke down! RAC diagnosed a faulty CPS, cleared the fault code and then all seemed fine. I have two questions if anyone can help:-

Now I have one indecent is it likely to happen again (is it on its way out)?
Anyone got any idea how difficult/much it is to replace?

They cost £47 from Bosch or £87 from MB dead easy to fit on the rear of the engine just above the starter on most

Many thanks for that. Just checked and still under a warranty so will get it replaced that way as long as it is covered.
