When I go to the MB dealer to buy parts sometimes I don't have a part number so he pulls up a diagram on his computer so I can see the bits I want.

Does anyone know of an online resource with the same/similar diagrams ?

Cheers

Just a word of caution. Any on-line resource such as those above may be quite out of date, MB do update their part numbers quite frequently.

Always check with the parts dept before ordering. The tech should be able to confirm the current number.

Even MB's own EPC is frequently out of date.

how does that first link work.

I have just put my VIN in and it comes up with my car with all the options, but there is nowhere to go from there to get to parts sections.

Thanks for that - it does get me in.

However, how do I search for parts using my VIN ?

Also I cannot open the gearbox section.

There does not seem to be a facility for a parts search using a VIN. Entry of this just specifies the model, colour and extras etc. Also there is no facility for entering a part number. Details of engine and gearbox subsections are at the very bottom of the parts section and clicking on these gives engine and gearbox parts details.

It does imply you can search using the VIN and I would expect that, otherwise it is pretty useless without that facility.

I do use the old version a lot and always search using VINs on that site.

I agree, it does imply a VIN search. I can't make it work using it - perhaps someone can enlighten us!
