I swear by Millers Diesel Max - keeps the injectors and EGR valve clean if used regularly. Anecdotal admittedly but after taking several cars from new to nearly 200k, never had a problem with either component.

That is a good recommendation! long proven history all the way back to the Viva.

There are many ways to do that and there are lots of opinions on whats best and why.
Myself I have always ran my cars with BP Ultmate ans add redex about 2 times a year.
Others add the additives seperatly for the purpose they require.

Redex indeed has a good name,my C220 is not smokey running on Texaco diesel fuel,I filled with Circle K more miles (or premium) sometimes and could not see any difference, I agree it probably is better as you say for the fuel system and engine and you do not have to ponder about the range of additives out there. Thanks for sharing.

Has anybody used Dipetane? It's an Irish product that everybody here swears by.

The nearest thing I can compare it to is Marvels Mystery Oil. It's basically a mineral oil, but supposed to be great for injectors and keeping stuff moving nicely.

I'm not sure if it's placebo or not, but I feel like my valve lifters aren't as tappy with it.

It's actually half a bottle to a tank so 4 tanks for the twin pack .

Very often single bottles get discounted to £2 .

It won't tell you what it is but it's got to be 2-EHN .
