Makes the 328 bhp of my 1994 R129 look pretty modest!

But I rather doubt I would use the extra 200 bhp - I must be getting old I guess. Even though, 90 mph on B roads is routine and overtaking half a dozen cars in one bound too.

Maybe I haven't aged enough yet?

The engine and model change took place 06-06 when the car became the "New SL" the options were the same as the earlier models, the front frill went to 3 bars with chrome front edge, new AMG aprons and side skirts, the wheels went to 19" also the door sills were changed. folding door mirrors was added when locking.

The engine torque increased to 720 and output to 517at 6100rpm
Small changes took place on the suspension

saw a jan 2005 car with a widescreen monitor ...
does this indicate that this is the uprated(2006) model..
