Hi Can the oil be drained out of the diff on a 2013 SL350 or would it need to be sucked out via the fill plug hole.

I don't know your motor but usual is a drain plug near the bottom (no point near the top). First be sure you can undo the filler plug. That one's half way up (no point near the bottom).

It has a drain. As previously advised, loosen the filler/level plug first
Do you happen to know what size key it is for the SL350 2013

I use a dual 14mm / 17mm dual hexagon key.
The 14mm is dirty with rust from use so I guess it's that one.
