Hi.

I am looking to do my own 84K service on my 92 230e (w124)? 4cyl. (should save a few pounds) I have read the service booklet & i will do what is required.

I have already done the dist cap(it was already cracked), alternator belt & air filter. which were is desperate need of replacing.

just a couple of questions

What is the best way for me to change the coolant?

Also is there a drain plug to change my oil? I don't have one of these oil drainer pump items.

should I use M/B spark plugs? or should I choose off the shelf bosch?

According to my hand book the brake fluid has not been changed for 4 years, is it going to be easy for me to do this?

:)

Drain the radiator and engine block throught he appropriate drains. Not sure on your engine, but the engine drain is probably behind the exhaust manifold. Refil with 50% glycol and de-ionised water. Ensure heater valves are set to hot.

yes there is an oil drain plug. Refit with new copper washer.

Any appropriate plugs. MB don't make their own.

Brake fluid as any other car. Not sure if you have ABS but no real difference if you have. You can either pressure bleed it or gravity bleed it.
