I've recently noticed a few ads appearing in the Motoring section of my local rag in Plymouth that just scream of being so wrong!
I could never understand the rubbish that he bought, till one day when I went to see him he was showing a customer how nice the car would clean up by T cutting the roof, the cills had long rotted away and fallen off,,but he got away with it
I think I have met him - does he go under the trading name of 'Boyce Motors of Peckham'
He traded from home in Bricket Wood Herts,,unless posh set him up in peckham
A lot of 'Eastern Europeans' here in Northants selling cars at the side of the road, contact via a mobile number and you can get yourself a good deal well for a day or so Yes amazingly they do sell them, the boyz in blue appear to have no interest, so one must assume they are all 'legal':roll:
What's the world coming to when you can't trust the word of a used car salesman?Long story short is that when I got down to Southampton things were not as described.........the point I'm trying to make is that I had to travel a fair way to view the car and it was not as described at all. This sort of behaviour really hacks me off and I just thought that I would warn people out there to be aware.
There are loads on autotrader and ebay, very good cars at ridiculous prices. If you do contact the seller it is the usual story of having moved abroad and not being with the car at the moment.I've recently noticed a few ads appearing in the Motoring section of my local rag in Plymouth that just scream of being so wrong!
There was a Range Rover Sport 07 Plate, blah blah blah. £12,950. Ad Includes a phone number (Manchester code - only 300 miles away!) but instructions not to ring as seller can't get to phone. Email for further details and info. I also liked the bit that it was advertised with 10 months MOT.
There have been a couple of other ads in the same style (an Audi A5 for no money with a Liverpool phone number) with 'can't get to phone but email' instructions.
Do we reckon that said seller would like to meet purchaser half way in an old disused warehouse to exchange said motor for cash?
Never right.

Many dodgy ones are sold because the seller is keeping a broard
At least I got it Malcolm
Thank you,,I know that you spell it differently
I have been looking at cars and the ones that read as interesting I phone the dealer up and get them to come and see me with it. If they don`t then I am not interested in it.
Autotrader and the newspapers make their money from the ads, so they really arent interested in vetting people who give them money..and as for posh spice leave that girl alone I happen to quite like her..im sure she could get me out of limp mode
