Bi xenon lights have a blue tint to the edges of the beam, a projector style fitting, no manual height adjustment, clear lenses and headlight washers. When you switch them on, they flicker slightly before coming to full brightness and the beam rises as they self level.
I can't remember any '99 model C's having xenons but its possible I suppose.
The tell-tale is the clear glass.

Looks nice.
If you can get hold of the VIN no. you can check it's original spec from the Russian site.

Hard to tell, but they don't look like xenons to me. Also, did they fit rain sensors to the C class? Not an option I've seen.
I've read ads before where they've obviously copied another ad and not realised that half the stuff they are listing isn't there.

clear glass and the pop out headlamp washer (to maintain the cleanliness as high temp and dirt on the lens dont mix) is indicative of factory fit headlamps.
cars with xenons dont have wipers on the headlamps, so i was once told

otherwise maybe they just have high discharge bulbs.

get the vin and check what the car left the factory with

As said above.......there's no chance of that as it's just an ad I spotted, because mine's the same yr and doesn't have them.

.

I've got factoy Xenons, rain sensing wipers and auto-dipping mirrors on my 99 C43. All options. Min are not bi-xenons - only dipped but v handy all the same. And ridiculously expensive to replace I have heard.

Oh right......I know when I asked about mine when it was ordered they said they had the option of either a/c or a s/roof....the bugger's took a/c.., so there's no chance of the paying for that then, oh well...

A relative bought a new C in '99. It was ordered with a standard factory sunroof but the dealer then called to day that MB had deleted the roof and were fitting aircon instead. The Sunroof had become an extra £600 or so as it is today. Anyway, my current E is the first one I've had with xenons. Yes they look good and are brighter, but to be honest, given the difference between them and the standard halogens on the old E, I'd pay maybe £300 for the difference but that would be it. For £1000 I'd say no.
