I'm wonder if someone could help me, I'm going to see and probably buy a Mercedes E320 from 2007 and I need to be sure if car have DPF or not, the VIN number WDB2112222B160416
I'll be much appreciated.

Was it a cost option, did it's fitment lead to a euro 5 classification? My 2005 om642 doesn't have one I don't think, can't ever see any smoke in the rear view though. Cheers!

does it have a 5mm edge that's looks different to the passenger side one? if it doesn't then you "no longer" have a dimming drivers door mirror glass.... passengers are all non dimming

I saw & I drove the car
123000 miles and really it's in very good conditions, and FSH, but the price the guy asking 5k I think quite expensive for a 13 year car, the only downside I spotted was the car needs new tyres soon 265 35 18

5k is the price with 123000 miles, quite expensive, despite the car it's in very good good conditions but need tyres very soon

has it got xenon's the spec doesn't says so... and they are dim as hell without them ( does on Matthew K's one)

what warrants 5 k ? get him to fit 4 brand new tyres and give him 4k if its mint and u want it
sounds like one owner still remembers handing over 37k new and hasn't noticed the world moved on 14 years....

if the BMW dealer trade price for a 530e, that had LOTS of toys selling for 64k new, and is now 18 months with 17k miles... is only worth 20k, why should this guy expect so much ????

Thanks, yes car with Xenon lights.
I just need a very comfortable car to do around 4000 miles a year during my holidays as I've a house in Portugal, and my wife suffer sever low back pain, and I think MB is the best for long journeys
I'm tempted to offer him 4k but not more than that.

Check for any oil leaks, ideally see it start from cold, listen for any clunking from the suspension, check for vibration at speed and make sure everything works inc the stereo and headlamp wash. Lift the cover off the engine and check for black death, make sure it's not producing smoke. I'd be tempted to make sure the tyres aren't budget. I lost quite a few mpg fitting cheap tyres to mine, same 265/35 18's on the back, they're very wide so a good roll rating is quite important IMO.

The tyres will cost me 600 pounds for 4 fitting included, plus 330 for tax road, that means car will go for 6K, sorry no way to spend that money in a car with near 14 years plus 123000 miles.

get an as new Mondeo 2 years old and 30k miles for 7k, 48mpg and 30quid road tax double the toys and better safer car

it will drive a lot better than a 14 year old car (of just about any brand) and have 6 years left in it, where the 14 year old one might be less than a year

I agree, you could quite easily end up having to plough another 1k into it for any repairs etc. IMO the OM642 isn't a great engine TBH, the early 722.9 gearboxes can be problematic too.

Make him a cheeky offer, he's never gonna get 5k or anywhere near IMO
