Hi, Mercedes Sprinter 313 CDI 2014 - 160,000 miles.
Message comes up on dash that exhaust is blocked, I had it properly cleaned 1000 miles ago and all was fine but now every morning the message comes up, after about 20 miles it resets and goes out and stays out all day then next morning it’s on again, any ideas

star will tell you the % of soot / ash that the ecu thinks it has .

Dunno if you can force a regen , depends how clogged it is .

My high mile w639 was showing 230% and wouldn't get exhaust temp high enough to regen .
Took the dpf off and filled it with 5l cleaner from gsf for a day or 2 , drained out flushed with hose pipe and she's 120 /40 % now the ex temp will allow a forced regen ...........blimey they do get hot though .........put your heater on full blast

As Hmang says you need a diagnostics first to confirm all sensors are working properly and what fill level the DPF is at, then try a regen.
