right

right your plumbings ok thought it would be otherwise thered be diesel all over the floor aswell

air could be from lots of places , does the car start ok if so the airs not too bad

Is your tank well over half full as these cars tend to drag air when tank gets low because the steel pipework along the chassis is really too small for the lift pump and if youve got crap/animal fats aswell bore will be reduced further

next I suspect the connections to the inline filter as you say theres air going thru it, unless you use proper fuel type clips and are careful tightening then the hosetails go oval and let air in

to get rid of air youve got to eliminate bubbles from tank side and work towards pump join by join till no air ,as I say if it starts and runs ok shouldnt be too bad

Yeah it start first time no problem. The tank is less than a quarter full Yorkshire1 and to be fair even before this drama i had noticed bubbles but had never thought of it because car was running perfect.

I think i should just replace his filer with one i bought on ebay. His one just makes me feel uneasy dont know why lol. I am assuming my 8mm one will fit into his pipe no problem. Here is exact pic of ones i got

air

if the car starts and runs ok then the air in the system isnt causing issues ,those filters are directional so fit with arrow going in direction of flow

if its the bigger hosetail you need on the filter just cut the smaller diameter off you can get inserts to push into the hosetail ends prior to fitting the fuel hose which help stop the ends distorting if needed

Had lost interest and just left the car unused. Fitted bio fuel filter and removed one fitted by our friendly Pole. Straight away thd new bio filter was trapping stuff that must been previously been going through. Really shocked how bad the fuel was. This was just after a 15 mile run

A few.
Unlikely bits that large have made it past the filters.

That looks like WVO that hasn't been filtered AT ALL, still with food bits in it!

Drain tank completely, blow out fuel lines from beginning to end & the change filters? Alternatively I suppose, drive it & change the filters repeatedly until it's all gone. Perhaps one of our indies who works on these things could say what the best plan is.

thats what I think it wasn't filtered at all. I got 6 x 20ltr drums and just one of them was like this.

Is it possibe any of this stuff escaped and went past the fuel filter and into the engine proper and blocked injectors etc?

And I must thank you all for helping me solve this problem. Makes me appreciate the forum a lot :cool
