Please help me. 2001 E 220 CDI (W210?) Drive belt has broken. I have new one but cannot see how tensioner works. It has a 17mm bolt on the front of the tensioner. Tensioner will move right and left but how does it tighten?

Your Mercedes

Its spung loaded, it should have spines on it which a 17 mm socket fits on and then you move the rachet/spanner clockwise to move it!
