We need a current automotive design engineer to put the final facts down.
For my part, amongst my qualifications, I hold a BTEC in Technology, engine theory being one of the components. It was a ****** long time ago that I learnt, so I am always open to be corrected.

I have a machine tool making certificate, those basic facts that we were taught have not changed, only the way they go about things now.
From the MB side, in the 30,000 pages that I have,there is not one fault recorded for a car that has sat for too long in D.
