I have pulled the heater motor and everything seems good , I am wondering if the heat controls are run by the vacuum system? The problem is that the heater motor will not run continuely, has a mind of its own. the problem started when i got the car back from the local dealer for senser replacement for the clutch fan. Any thoughts out there as to were i should look next?

Thats the bit on the dash that controls the fan speeds, its got a cable at the back on it which goes to somewhere on the blower motor. I'm guesing the cable activates the speed(s) via a simple control box at the blower motor.

As you can tell I'm no expert on auto electrics!

I've just consulted Haynes and there is a resistor (proberly a Rheostat) that controls the speeds, it may be corroded

Mike.
