My 1998 e200 starts first time but runs poorly when cold. It has had a service and tune but the symptoms persist. If I leave it ticking over until it is warm it then runs much better although it is occasionally hesitant when accelerating. It is lpg converted and runs perfectly on lpg.
I have considered the mass air sensor after reading through the forums but most people say that its failure results in a lumpy tick over. Mine ticks over fine. It will just stutter badly if you attempt to rev it before it is warm. anyone had similar symptoms please.
