I have an e200cdi with a manual gearbox (2011) and have noticed that when I accelerate from 80 to 100 kph in 5th or 6th gear there is some drive-train drone. Is this normal or do I need to have the car looked at by a garage.

Not normal, but likely to be tyres or something similair. Does it do it in all gears, or only 5th and 6th?

I don't think its the tyres because it only happens when I accelerate. It doesn't seen to happen in 4th gear either, just in 5th and 6th gear.

It is possible that its also the propshaft center bearing, or the engine mounts.

Somebody with more knowledge on the manual gearbox will hopefully come along and have some input :)
