E211 Dashboard fault

My 2005 E280 cdi keeps intermittently losing the dash functions and clock goes haywire, should i replace the pod or is there other possibilities

Cluster Repairs UK can probably fix it - give them a call. There's other companies in the repair business, too, or you could try various breakers for a used replacement.

Take the instruments out and clean the plugs and connectors put it back in and she how it goes, if not sounds like the board probably needs resoldering. Mine did the same thing 2 years back, I got away with cleaning the connections and it's still working well, so it's worth a try.
