Hi good afternoon,
Any one know about
P244A00
P244 AFA on a E220 2015 BLUTEC.
(The pressure defferential in the diesel or gasoline particulate filter is too low)

What will be the reason for this code?
Any solutions...

Is the DPF is full (need a cleaning), the pressure sensor fault or no DPF.

Many owners come here with an EML after software update. I’d recommend getting that fixed and getting the dealership to take ownership of the EML, rather than taking it to another mechanic for more diagnostic and guess work at your expense…
Any decent specific code reader will give DPF fill level so you can easily ripple that out. Incompatible Nox sensors following software update is what comes up most often.

I do find it odd that people go to mechanics to return with a fault code then to the forum to ask - what does it mean and whats the problem. Thats the job of the mechanic.

Fault codes are easy to read as your mechanic has shown, the skill is in deciphering them to pinpoint the fault.

Was the mechanic a MB specialist and what code reader was he using.

If this is the true code definition, and it appeared after the ecu was updated, then its likely that your dpf has been gutted and the ecu was them edited (mapped) to deal with this.

The dealer software update would have overwritten the software.

Stick a tissue in the exhaust pipe. If any soot present your dpf is gone, or broken.
