E220 Active bonnet malfunction

Fake message appear on dashboard more frequently 'Active bonnet malfunction...'
I always cancel this, but couple of times engine stall while waiting at traffic signal which scares me.
Also observed sometimes 'Eco mode' turns off when this message appear.
Not sure if it is very expensive to get this diagnosed, but waiting to see if any suggestions please.

Engine stall and active bonnet malfunction are unlikely to be related.

Common issues are broken wires to the bonnet hinge actuators, but I usually see this on accident damaged cars where the hinges have deployed and the accident repairer has not replaced the actuators.
