I'm interested in buying an E220 coupe in the near future but need some advice and wondered if you could help:
What was the difference between the '94, '95 and '96 models?
When did the 5sp auto replace the 4sp auto?
Did all models come with AC, sunroof, leather, heated seats, electric mirrors, electric windows front and rear, etc? Was the AC climate?
Some adverts advise that an 'electric pack' was fitted. What does this contain as was it fitted to all models and is this a selling technique?
What do I look for on a car with 50,000 - 80,000 miles on the clock? What wears etc,
With a full MB or other service history what is likely to go wrong?
What should I look for when viewing cars? and what should be avoided?
What price of servicing can I expect from a main dealer and from a non-franchised dealer?
Will a non-franchised dealer give my car good service? and if so are there any in the Croydon area?
What is contained within the service schedule at the small and large services? When does the cam belt get changed? (assuming it has a belt rather than a chain)
Are both the E220 and the E320 both capable of being converted to run on LPG?
