Hi can anyone give me some advice please, every now and again my E220 cdi just stops accelerating, you can put your foot to the floor and nothing happens !! and then you switch off and leave for a while and turn it back on again and seems to be ok again. This is intermittant.

You would appear to have problem known as limp home mode, caused by most probably the air flow meter (MAF) A diagnostic check will confirm your problem, switching off and restarting resets the ecu and the car runs ok for a while...

Yes thats it..buy it from MB the cheap ones are rubbish, and will cause you grief
