I believe you can now get "fluffy dice" which double as air fresheners. Not too hard to fit, but does entail removal of rear view mirror and electrics.

Just imagine how classy it will look! and sweet smelling too..

On the east coast of Portugal, mid way between Porto and Lisbon, there is a road (almost) that runs through a forest by the beach. Not only do you get the smell of the sea, but also a beautiful pine scent combined.

My thoughts are to combine the two jobs (tax disc and air freshener renewal). While there is a hole in the windscreen, drive through this forest, taking in the gorgeous scent. FOR FREE!

Upon reaching the end of the forest, simply finish the covering of the windscreen, sealing in the new fragrance and return home.

This one's so easy I'm surprised you need to ask.

You simply remove the doors and confine your driving to cherry orchards at blossom time.

Try having my problem. The car facing the wrong way.

I can't work out if this is a serious thread or not :) but the best thing to get rid of smells are the little gas fumigator devices used for killing bacteria in aircon pipes.

They do an excellent job of neutralising smells in the car. Halfords sell them, and supermarkets sometimes have them too.

Do they work the morning after after a night on Guiness and a curry..??

Didn't think anything would work on that combination.!

p.s. tried an asbestos seat cover - but it melted :(

Ah! Guinnes and a curry, now that's a great combination for an air freshener, and if you could buy one think of the money you will save.

All built into the shape of a fluffy toilet, I'll have to stop this, I'm going back into marketing mode.

Thanks, ebony266.

I fear that even your honours degree in the subject may not be enough. A friend who told me he had a phd in the subject offered his advice but it simply didn't work since the car is entirely the wrong colour.

ebony266, that's the most sensible suggestion I've had so far. I'll start at once and let you know if it works.

Call Mobilo, they will come with a low loader, take your car to the dealers, fit the air freshener, then return it to you facing the other way. And the good part, they give you a courtesy car while they do it. Approx 2 days.

I've always known that the brains on this site could solve almost anything.

Brilliant solutions, all of them.

I've already told the rest of my ward about it and they're going to join too, immediately they're out of the jackets.
