Hi folks,
I think I have a faulty injector on my car as have the following issues:
little smoke on kickdown - only really noticable at night with cars following
car is thirsty at slow speeds (never above 30mpg) but seems ok on a run (37mpg cruising at 70ish) which seem ok for an auto?
if car is left idling to warm up it smokes for the first 100yds badly
car is not starting quite as well as it was
Spoke to indie who confimed injectors and told me he'd change all 6 at £120 a pop and he couldn't do it for a few weeks..
I took the engine cover off and it looks like some have been changed so the question is how do I test which are faulty and is this a DIY job? Do you have to de - pressurise the fuel system?
Cheers in advance, Simon.
