Hi all,

I'm new on here so go easy!

Looking at a 2012 coupe of the above but can't see any benefit of the 350 over the 250? Anyone looked at both?

Thanks!

Definitely 350 - have never driven a 250 and wouldn’t want to. You can't beat the smoothness of the 6 cylinder engine.

(Other opinions are available and will, no doubt, be along shortly!) ;)

Chalk and cheese I must admit to being a big fan of the OM642 V6 diesel especially the EU5 variant in the 12 plate you are looking at. Will not be as frugal as the OM651 IL4 but is superior in every other respect and very tuneable

VW Scirocco. The Quattro, E350 CDi Blue Efficiency Sport Coupe, now both gone
The E350 all day every day. Smooth, responsive, pace and grace. Not that there’s anything wrong with the E250, but I bet if you do drive both you will buy the E350.

Me -2019 GLC 350 coupe AMG line. Mrs- ford kuga 65 plate awd powershift .
Having owned both id say the e350 , the coupe is built around the c class and shares parts i think 40 % c and 60 % e .

Brilliant car in the summer with all the windows down and pana roof open. The v6 sounds brilliant, the om651 however not so refined. If fuel is a concern opt for a 250 , if not 350 all day long.

I average around 38 mpg over 7 mile trips to work , luckily for i have 9 gears , on a long run I'd expect to be in the 50's.

Another for the 350 here
What you probably have to ask yourself is what are you going to be using it for? If your doing a lot of miles and you need economy then the 250 is the sensible choice, if not then go for the 350

All thanks for the replies! So E350 it seems, now, next question! 2013 or the (nicer looking from the front) 2014?!

Got to be a e250 with a map on it...... Better mpg.......cheap tax..... but the e350 is a smoother engine so it depends on what you want from the car.
