Could somebody advise please which of the Luiqi Moly 5w-40 engine oils is correct please for Portugal climate?
There seems to be several variations

As long as the oil meets MB spec 229.5 you can use any brand.
The one recommended above is as good as any.
Being located in Portugal makes no difference to the oil required.

As a matter of interest, I asked the dealer for the cost of the Mercedes oil. With VAT just over 48 Euros per LITRE!
Thats 430 Euros for 9 Litres. Needless to say, I didn`t buy it!

Some will pay it. Either because they can afford it and don't care; others because they believe that the dealer has their best interests at heart and that to use "inferior" oil would cause the world to end.
