I cant tell if its yellow or green i might be a bit colour blind
should it be really obvious ?

Hi,

The stop/start only goes green when a number of criteria are met.
Some of them are that the car engine must be at or above a certain temperature; the car must have been driven at above a certain speed; the services load (air con, etc.) must be below a certain level; the outside temp mus be above a minimum; etc., etc.
If you have the air con on it probably will never go green -- hence it doesn't kick in much or at all during winter.

Mine kicks in after half a mile first thing in the morning.
I do keep the batteries topped up if the car is not in use for a week with a charger/conditioner.

Not often i use ac heater is set on 24 at the moment fan on II.
If i have done a load of short trips it will stop working after a few days but doing my normal 50 mile round trips it works within a mile at the most from starting the car and driving off.

I still can't tell if it's green or yellow
It's not as green as the indicator telltale, but it's not as yellow as the engine warning light .

there's no mention of stop /start in the steering wheel /dash menu

Have you got a charger you could put on the car for 24 hours.
It would charge the other battery as well as that one needs to be well charged.

Aux should be ok
It’s done 200miles a day for the last few weeks

I have noticed a low voltage warning when connecting the diagnostic sometimes and sometimes it shows a terminal 15 fault

I do have a fault with the central gateway but can’t seem to find any info on how to deal with it .

I remember reading that some people (who seemed to think the Stop/Start was the work of the devil!?!) discovered a way to ensure that it never turned on. I don't know what 'Terminal 15' is but that might be related -- maybe a fuse was removed?

I’ve had it a few years now
The stop start has never worked .
I’m not even convinced it’s fitted .I don’t have an eco button
Only an eco light on the instruments just under the gear position indicator
