EDC problem.

hello all,my broblem is my c220[1994]starts first thing on morning,runs for 5 seconds then the revs rise edc light comes on and she stops,she does this twice every morning and then runs for about a mile then edc light comes on again and she goes into get you home mode[reduced power],when i stop and restart she runs perfect for the rest of the day,until next morning when she goes through the whole performance again.i would be grateful for any help any one can give,p.s it is an automatic.thanx.

How does she start on the first cold start of the day??

Not entirely sure of the system you have fitted, but sounds like a lift pump in the fuel tank type fault.

If you give the first six of your VIN, Malcolm may see if an electric lift pump is fitted to your car...

hi uncle benz,im away from home at the moment,a friend had it put on a computer and it said she was over valving,what is overvalving?thanx .s.

Absolutely no idea what 'overvalving' means. Could he possibly have said 'overfuelling'??

hi uncle benz,sorry for confusing you,i got it wrong,what it said was,egr,switchover valve,y27 circuit..does that mean anything to you..cos it certainly doesnt to me.
