Hi
Can anyone suggest where to dispose of a vehicle I no longer want?
I am keen it is disposed of correctly, and getting a few quid for it would be a bonus, although it seems too good to scrap.
I am sure there are loads of really good parts on it but I got no interest from Dronsfields (struggled to get even a return call) same with Doncaster motor spares??
The car is a 300SE with FSH, Leather, alloys etc etc and under 140k on the clock
but has gone tatty on the bodywork.
Any advice appreciated.

Ebay is possibly the best place to sell it and you should get more than scap value for it also.

Give it to me, i'll recycle it and get it usable again, thus being far more energy efficient by saving the costs of destroying it and also saving the energy costs of building anew car to replace it, i love old mercedes, i'd rescue all of em if i could, good job i havent got any money or i'd need a field for parking! :)

I'd go with Jib's suggestion. Best chance fo finding someone who's looking for one.
Not as good an option IMO but I once advertised a car in the local paper as 'breaking- buyer dismantles'. Managed to sell the engine, gearbox and interior off my drive to 3 different folk, then just gave the rest to a scrapyard.

Ive done that before but its a hassle when they want the wheels and offer good cash for them but then your left with a car that wont move.

Ahhh, I see now - you don't want info about car disposal....you just want to advertise your company. You should've said, we could have got rid of this so more quickly (See, we do end of life disposal too :D )

ASM breakers in the Oxford area......they pay about £200/vehicle if you take it to them.
