though I cant say about the harness, it should be compatable, you will need the ECU from the Cosworth engine, It will drop straight in.

I'd hazard a guess that the exhaust, radiator and possibly the gearbox will be different. You need to look up some part numbers for 1.8 and 2.5-16 ancilliaries to see if there are differences. You may even find that engine mounts are different

If one car has aircon and the other doesn't, or one is auto and the other is manual, then expect your problems to increase greatly

The 7P rule applies here

Exhaust is bound to be different and are there not heavier springs on the bigger engine models? Fuel tank on a 2.6 is bigger than any other models, but that shouldn't matter too much.

I would leave the 1.8 in it and look for another 190E with a bigger engine.

I'd imagine you'd also need to uprate the brakes, wheels and suspension too, just to make it safe, let alone road legal. Then what about the interior? Also check the implications on your insurance - chances are you'll need a specialist. After all that, you'd probably be better (cheaper) buying a proper cossie in the first place.

i have already thought abut exhaust and brakes and the such like and i have a nice big list of things that will need to be changed. The exhaust will be changed for a one off stainless steel system made to fit the car. All i really needed to know was about the harness
