Engine dies Problem

Hi, Guys, I`m new to this I hope somebody can help. I have a 1999 slk 230 compressor with ongoing problems. I have had problems with starting which I have cured however I have now developed a problem with the engine just cutting out on test drive and will not restart until it has completely cooled down.

I have recently changed the K40 relay, fuel pump, fuel filter, and cam position sensor i have just ordered a new MAF unit do you think I am going down the right path???

Hi Guys, Thanks for the response as you suggest LostKiwi I think I will book a diagnostic check. One thing since my last post I checked over my fitting of the new fuel pump and filter which was good. I noticed a split hose on the F1 Carbon filter. Could this be my issue ????

By the way I am based in Cardiff South Wales.
There is a very good independent Mercedes specialist not far from you...
It's the guy who posted about the crank position sensor. You couldn't do much better than paying @Steve@Avantgarde a visit.

Thanks, I`ve already booked a diagnostic check for Monday I will let you know how it goes.
