Hi
My Friends vehicle 1998 c230 2.3 4 cyl was parked for long time, as it was involved in minor accident , there was minor front end damage that was fixed.

But now the car will start, but it does not take the acceleration and if you give acceleration from the throtle the car starts shaking, but still no acceleration. My mechanic is unable to the find problem as his computer does not show any problem codes.

Please advise

The engine starts and the idleing is fine, but revs don't go up at all.

Hi
It did'nt work.
If I try to use throtle from engine compartment(not from throtle paddle), revs are up, but engine has lot of vibration once I leave the throtle.
I have also changed the throtle valve , it does not work.

Please help me to diagnose the problem.

No error codes on computer

Thanks

Hi
My Mechanic replaced the throtle assembly but still the problem exits.
When we use throtle pedal, we have noticed that the throtle valve does not move automatically and the car is in idle position with no revs

Check the connector that goes to the throttle pot. It is where the throttle cable terminates. When you open the bonnet if you look in the far right hand corner you will see it.

Basically what is happening is the ecu is not sending the signal to the throttle valve (if you say the one you have replaced is good)

The only two other items that could possibly cause this problem would be the ECU or the throttle pot.

This problem also occurs when you use diagnostic software on the ECU and you reset the ECU.

If you have done this, try resetting it again a couple of times and it should clear the problem.
