engine over-revving

my E320 (W124) automatic is over revving when in neutral or park. Any ideas why?

I have a 200e which had this kind of problem, and it was the fuel pressure regulator located under the air filter. It took two minutes to fit and cost £100. Hope this helps.

Hi

Firstly get the fault codes read. Before changing stuff by chance. Otherwise you may have an expensive mistake.
