Hi I'm getting a slight engine vibration on tickover before the engine reaches normal running temp. The car is a 2013 MY and has only covered 34k It's not a misfire, if it had done a lot more miles I would be looking at engine mounts. Is this normal. My previous car was a V6 Diesel Jag which was very smooth on tickover although I think it had some kind of hydraulic engine mounts.

Any thoughts.
Thanks.

Prob warrants a diagnostic session .alt could get expensive.
Thoughts. Eng mounts, miles low for that. Dirty injector same, low miles, dirty fuel, and or filter .ignition issue .
I would get it on star and find out from there.

I.ve run some Oxicat through it when I first bought it, so the injectors EGR valves etc should be fine. It's when the revs drop down say when stopping at lights etc that you get the vibration as though the revs are dropping to low momentarily. After going for a run yesterday it sometimes does it when the engine is at normal running temp. If it was a high mileage car I would be looking at say the plugs. I've got a icarsoft MB V1.0 scanner and that is not showing any faults or codes. I must add that this anomaly is hardly noticeable but it's just niggling to me.

Another question. If I was to take the plugs out would I have to remove the inlet manifold or plenum chamber if that's what its called.

From memory all you need remove is the air filter box (big plastic bit on top of the engine).

The air filter box is on the left hand side of the 276 engine looking from the front. The big plastic bit that you refer to is the inlet manifold or the plenum chamber which is what I'm not sure if it needs to be removed. It's very close to the coil packs.
