Help please. Bought my c240 estate a couple of months ago and except for the esp light flashing on for a split second a couple of weeks ago it's been great, but today it's a little different, the esp light keeps coming on for about 3 to 5 seconds at a time and a dip in power is felt, it has happened at slow speed and also at high speed, straight line or turning. Any advice would be great

As you have 2 ESP components you will need to put the car on STAR, and cheapest with a good indie

What are the 2 esp components, are they expensive to replace, and what sort of cost is it to put the car on star. I am wondering if it may be a bad connection as it keeps coming and going.

You have the steering sensor on the steering column, and the lateral sensor under the rear seat or up front in the boot

So it is likely to be one of these sensors, rather than the esp unit itself, just hope the cost is not to much.

The lateral sensor is the most common one,, it cost from £25 to £35 with the average indie to run a STAR test
