Exhaust cat

Wanted to my car to make more noise from exhaust dont want to put stanless steel on will make it so much louder.has anyone took the cat out?? I got 2 cats on my car one near front and one near middle.the one near middle has no sensor on it.so if take that out will light come on or not? It's on a mercedes c200 kompressor w203

The EML won't come on if you remove the secondary cat (the middle one) and you may see a little more volume if the resonator is removed as well. Don't take out the primary cat by the manifold as you'll have issues at MOT time along with a warning light.
