dear countrymen,

i asked my question on mbworld, but since i know you guys love, and work on, older benzes way more, i have to ask this question here.

the old man's 2005 e320 4matic has been sitting with something wrong in the fifth cylinder. either the piston or something.

due to some unforeseen circumstances, this may be the time to build my dream "battle steed".

an m112 4matic with the blower. the transmission is the same, isn't it?
i would imagine the ECU wouldn't need to be changed either, since the C32/SLK32 engine is the E320 engine with forged internals plus the blower?

just wondering if one of the pros here could help me find the OFFICIAL hard copy engine service manuals for the M112

W211 (2005 E320 4MATIC, host car)
and one of these two
R170 (SLK32)
W206 (C32)

this should be sufficient to better understand if this is possible, right?

i know one of you guys has to know where to get these and possibly has contacts for an "m112 expert" that may be useful for what i'm thinking about doing.

i would appreciate some of that wisdom

thanks

Supercharger is clutched and the ecu is different between the two (to drive the clutch). There are no hard copy manuals for this engine. All details are in WIS. Last hardcopy was w140.

thanks alex.

having some experience with HANDA cars, when i reinvented the "redneck swap" with flare (i stole it from the rednecks and did it the HANDA way), even though the engines for the 3.2{C,T}L Type S were the same, the ECU was different for the manual version.

the interesting thing was i had to re-pin my dash (again, total takeover. no cuts. finesse re-pinning) because of the differences between the two cars (door count, among the more obvious things). it wasn't too much of an issue.

i notice the C32 and SLK32 share the same ECU. is it safe to assume that the ECU, unlike my HANDA experience, operates purely within the engine bay?

also, does this mean i would need a new wiring harness to drive the blower, or does the blower have its own wire harness that plugs into the ECU, meaning i should be able to use my existing wire harnesses?

edit: this sucks. what a bunch of babies, freezing me out like that. it's sad when they're all about money but won't take mine, instead playing their petty games. consequences of their own doing. i was mentally prepared to go and their childish behaviour is not going to sit well with the people who ensured i got my top 5 law school acceptance along with my visa. CONSEQUENCES they're not used to because they still believe independence is in the cards. christ.

so i have WIS installed, but i don't know where the engine wiring harness discussion is.

there is a LOT OF stuff. i wish the GUI was better than it is. i'm not doubting the information but when i search "wiring harness" you'd expect it to show you the WIRING HARNESS diagrams instead of a lot of other stuff.

could some of you please share how i can find these diagrams easily? i'll note that it seems that merc does wiring harnesses way differently than HANDA. i didn't think the SLK32 and C32 would have extremely different harnesses, so this may be a case where i just need to ensure the plugs are the same and maybe see if there's an extra plug for the blower?
