Hi every one, Took my w202 c250td out today.......looked at the temp gauge after a few gours and it was way hot......plenty of water still in(most of it gushed out as i tried to "slowly" undo the cap. The heater was cold and the sid viscious fan was that viscious..i jammed the fan up using the old knotted rope trick but it didnt really help......It was above 80 on the temp gauge and after about two miles of running, would shoot up really quick....stop...let it cool down and it`d be ok....i`m thinking the impeller has came off the water pump shaft? Am i being thick? is this common? CAN ANY ONE PLEASE HHHHHEEEELLLLPPPP!!!!

Any bubbles in the coolant after you have turned it on? Any moisture at the exhaust outlet and how much? What is the colour of the engine oil when the car has been sitting idle for some time with the engine off and is there any increase in dipstick level?

Yes my friend had the same problem, he nearly ripped all his hair when he changed the

1) Radiator
2) Visous fan
3) Thermostat

After all that still the same. Turned out that the impeller on the water pump had broken.

Get that water pump changed.:D
