faulty imobiliser

How many of you have had problems with the interior mirror on a Cclass

When you open the car by the remote the imobiliser stayes on .

The red light on mirror does not work .

The green light flashes continous.

Then alarm activates.

If you go into a MB workshop they have boxes full of faulty mirrors.

This must be a common problem. Has any one else had this problem.?

Didn't have any trouble with mine. The only thing that I couldn't get it to do all the time was close all the windows

the bulb has gone for the red lamp, really common, the red and green lamps flash alternatly when the imobiliser is still on, this is due to the ifz (alarm) control unit not getting a full signal from the key, also the red and green lamps flash together when the batteries are flat in the handset which tells you to replace them.
