Hi all

The front wheels of my CLK have some play so it seems the control arms on both sides need replacing.

I looked on ECP and apparently there are two control arms for each front wheel, e.g. "front axle left front" and "front axle left rear".

I believe I need new "front-facing" arms since those have noticeable play when pushed by hand.

Is it necessary/recommended to also replace the "rear-facing" arms too?

TIA and cheers

I did both control arms on mine when I did them a couple of years ago , I didn‘t know which were at fault , because I was diy’ing and needed to get the tracking done after it seemed sensible in my case

I don't know about CLK, but can you not just replace the bushings ?
That's what I had done on my C280. The rubber bushings get ripped,
cracked, and get develop play in the control arms.
