Fuel consumption from c240

Can members tell me what they think average fuel consumption should be from c240 am only getting average 27mpg although can get computer reading upto about 31mpg when doing long runs 50 miles plus:-?

My E240 once got 37 on the computer - only once though. 34 was fairly normal on a run and run and round town - 20-24 ish. I have seen 13 on the computer!
Eco car it isn't - nice and smooth though!
