Hi guys.

First post in a long time , so if this question is an old one then my apologies...

Can anyone tell me the fuel economy figures for a E300 td? I have an E320 at the moment and looking at the possibility of changing/swapping it for an oil burner.. I can't seem to find valid fuel economy figues anywhere and want to do the comparison first...

thanks in advance

Hi

98 E300TD Estate 32-37mpg, 97 230K 30-34mpg

All on same commute, with diesel costing more than petrol penny per mile is the same.

Hello Mario

I ran an E300 TD '98 :) for a while and only got around 30 mpg on mainly 'A' road driving. It had around 100 K on the clock and was in good health. It was a bit disapointing but the car was quick and good to live with.

Thanks fellas's ...

All your input is helpfull. I am using my E320 for motorway use only and do about 240 miles a week. This is costing me about £40.00 so naturally I am looking at the oil burners but don't want to change from mercs. Plus I wouldn't mind the estate with extra seats.

So if anyone here would like to change a 7 seater oil burner for a E320 saloon then give me a shout.

thanks again - superb web site

No Chance
Got a 3 seater sofa in the back last week and was able to get the tailgate closed.

Hi Mario, I'd concur.
My 98E300TD 95kmls gives a very steady 33mpg. Mixed Driving
Great to Drive, Smooth & Solid with a robust & cheeky accelleration when you ask for it.
