Fuel Filter Replacement

Mercedes ML270CDI, VW Polo 1.9tdi, BMW K1200RS
Remove the top engine cover and the fuel filter is positioned on the right side over the inlet manifold and towards the rear of the engine, very easy to change, just loosen the 10mm bolt on the fixed clamp, disconnect the two fuel connections at the top and slide the filter cannister up and out.

Tip!..............Pre-fill the new filter with diesel fuel or else you will be cranking for what seems 'forever' before the engine will start...;).....(that was the case with my ML anyway).
