Hi all, have a 1984 w123 230E. Owned for nearly last 40 years.

We have a problem with the fuel pump maybe someone can help us on?

The fuel pump doesn't seem to be working, despite being replaced several times as part of fault finding in last few weeks (replaced with German made unit MotorService brand).

We've drained the fuel tank and checked the relay providing power.

We are wondering if the accumulator might be the culprit? Or something else? Many thanks!

Sometimes the fault can be the ignition switch.
What exactly is happening when you run the engine..?

Thanks Matt, it WAS running but then it would not start again. So we thought we had solved the problem (by replacing the fuel pump).

No power to fuel pump might be due to the fuel pump relay being faulty . View attachment 79529
Thanks for sharing. Yes we had tried that and actually by-passed the relay also to test. So there is power to the pump. Any thoughts on the accumulator? (I'm helping my Dad with this)
