So a quick google search later. This article is a purely speculative fluff piece using an artists’s impression made by photoshopping bits of GLC and other cars. That’s literally it. No official announcement by MB, no unofficial one.... the R Class is still deader than disco. Deader than A-line flares with pockets in the knees.
