You have some interesting cars... is that a genuine 2.5Pi estate? Dad had an K-reg one new in white... I remember that car well and loved it. I was just too young to be insured as a learner on it... that had to wait until his M-reg Audi100GL.
The Audi 100 was some car in its day!!!

Yes it left the factory as a genuine pi, the injection has been remove and carbs fitted, surprisingly it is faster than a pi though I pretty sure the engine isn't stock.
I had an Audi 80, cheap perks when you worked for Audi/VW :D

>>>The Audi 100 was some car in its day!!!

It was indeed. Dad's 100GL was the first generation I guess a 1974. The GL wasn't just about the twin headlamps and upgraded trim but there was some 25% greater power than the standard 100. The build quality of every single element was superb from the body and paint to the trim materials and mechanical components. I passed my test while we had it and I was insured and allowed to use it myself. In truth I abused this trust a little in the way I drove it but it's nimble front wheel drive handling, revvy engine and powerful inboard disc brakes just asked for experimentation. Pic below, not dad's actual car but same excellent colour.

Self and Mrs D owned several more of that and the next era 100 model ourselves and also an 80GT which was of note. Mid 70s special edition two door with twin headlamps, OE alloys, uprated engine/suspension and check trim with recaro type front seats. That was also super nimble and huge fun to drive. Picture is our actual car. In many ways it was the Golf GTi forerunner before that car was introduced.

Getting so close now to having the garage rebuild signed off, the Kennel has been cladded and in time will match the other sheds.

The fire doors are being fitted next week, which means sign off!!
Another stage of the driveway will be concreted in the new year
Then I can start the remedial work on foot paths and get rid of those pathing stones.

Very nice... I like a row of sheds.

Have another shed beside the driveway :D they're all full

What you now need is a nice new shed the same size as the two old ones.......

Now you're talking. :D I didn't mention this to the Missus though.
She has decided to do the lounge and bedroom and bring them into the new millennium and shake off the 60's/70's decor

If they were submarine doors would he not also have to build a tower above to simulate the underwater escape training facility that the submarine service have? IIRC it's something like a couple of hundred feet high, and trainees have to enter at the bottom and ascend to the surface without BA or similar. Bet the planning authorities would object!!:D

When I was up the ladder fitting those rafters it felt like a couple of hundred feet high
There will be a tube going in when I finally fit the freestanding gas fire, be a bit warmer than the temperature in the garage at the moment ;)

It'll certainly be a bit warmer up in the rafters :D You'll have to elevate one of your workbenches up there :)
