unusual low hum probably in 2nd then hunts a bit between 2nd and 3rd runs ok at 60mph 2500rpm. also windscreen wiper not parking at bottom of sweep and has recently parked at even more distance from bottom of sweep; flashers miss a beat; door controls require "rocking" to function; ABS light has been on for some weeks - could these be contributing to gb malfunction?

I had the same problem with my wiper motor, remove the blade and arm assembly, flip of the main cover (two small locaters on underside) a bit fiddly! and apply light oil (3 in 1) to the two parellel slides. Mines been ok since.

Number one rule on all of these things,start with basics and make sure that you have 12volt going in to pin 30 of the over voltage protection relay and 12 volt coming out on pin 87.
