Don't know about the 2001, but my 2002 has a little bit of rust beginning under the rear driver's wheel arch. Only visible on your hand an knees at the moment.

When you say factory fitted Xenons do you just mean standard? Mine has them and from looking at the workshop manual I believe they are factory fitted. Whether they were an option at the time of manufacture I don't know.

According to Parkers, the length, width, height & weight are 5158 mm 2092 mm 1444 mm 1770 kg

0-60 is 8.2. I have never tried mine. It seems quite sluggish from a standstill. I don't nip in between traffic at junctions.

I thought it would be hard to park with it being so long, but it's not a problem. The doors are very big though so you need plenty of space at the sides. Well at least I do The rear doors are even bigger.

I believe they are 5 gears.

Have had problems with rust on my 2002 s320cdi. Mostly on the wings. All taken care of by MB. Have been told that facelift models have very few problems with rust.
