According to Mercedes-Benz's website (http://www.mercedes-benz.com/e/service/genuparts/tausch.htm ) it is possible to get 'Genuine Reconditioned Mercedes Parts' directly from Mercedes-Benz. However when I telephoned MB HQ (Milton Keynes customer services = Tel: 01908 245000212) they informed me that I had to go directly to one of their dealerships and speak with a designated person who deals with this matter and they are called the 'Parts Coordinator'. Apparently each area in the country has a designated 'Parts Coordinator' whether they reside at a dealership or a regional appointed dealership the dealership of your choice should be able to put you in contact with a 'Parts Coordinator' who can help.

My question therefore is two fold...

1/ Does anybody have an experience of the above? What was the service like? Where the parts good value for money? Generally what are your thoughts and would you purchase from them again?

2/ Can anybody email me with any alternative businesses or companies that can supply either reconditioned or MB new parts? Also any businesses or companies that can offer alternative parts?

I currently own a Mercedes-Benz's A Class A160 (W168).

I thank you in advance.

recon parts

MB do supply reconditioned parts via the normal parts departments but these are generally only major units, engines and gearboxes.
