Glow Plugs

My glow-plug warning light was staying on after ignition - which I learned from this forum (thanks!) means the plugs need to be replaced (I have a 2002 E320 CDi). That was done last week - the whole set - by an independent recommended here (thanks again everybody!)

The problem is that the warning lamp is still coming on after ignition. Before having a go at the garage, I wanted to see if this was normal - do the plugs need to "bed in", for example?

Any thoughts gratefully received...

When I had my glow plugs done the lamp did not come on after ignition - I think that there is a problem with one of your plugs

On CDI engines, the glow plug lamp will stay on for a few seconds after turning on the ignition, this is normal, but as soon as the engine is started the light should extinguish and not come on again.........a symptom of faulty glow plugs is that the light will come back on for about 40 seconds AFTER the engine is running and then go off. If all the plugs have been fitted correctly then you might have a control unit problem.

No, the plugs do not need to 'bed in'
