I'm not sure If I'm allowed to post this so feel free to remove if required.

I've been using Owen Ferry Automotive in Paisley, Glasgow for a number of years he's looked after my old Boxster S and 728i. I've been recently going back to him with my wife's SL320. He's managed to fix a couple of issues that a closer supposed Merc specialist could not fix (only reason I went there was because Owen was on holiday). Prices very good and labour cheapest around the area. Very knowledgeable and works on all sorts from runabouts to Porsche, Merc's etc.

Without knowing the issue, it may be unfair to mention the other garage.

Let's have the other issue.

I have a good idea which garage it is. I'd appreciate it if the OP PMd me or even you for it to be passed on.

PM sent.

I have no connection with this garage and have never had a car serviced there but this is a link to their website. http://www.owenferryauto.com/

Neither have I Graeme I just always seem to see a number of posts on car forums looking for a good garage near people and felt I had to post.

Without knowing the issue, it may be unfair to mention the other garage.

It was my ignition barrel which had gone. A well known issue with these cars I believe.

I'll not be mentioning the garage. As they were only unable to fix my issue with the barrel they didn't over charge or try and rip me off in fact the opposite was true. Also MB Glasgow ordered and sent the garage the wrong part initially which added to the garage visit's and my time.

I also don't want to get involved with a slanging match with the garage owner in case he post's on here.
